How is a Virtual Workshop different from your other solutions?
A Virtual Workshop is an intense, one-off synchronous training event of short duration (8-24 hours, split into a series of 4-hour sessions) that is aimed at quickly up-skilling professionals on a certain topic or serving as a learning refresher.
A Smart Course is an asynchronous development program, of medium duration (2-8 weeks), aimed at immersing professionals in personalized content and self-directed learning paths, in order to master a specific topic, completely customized to their personality and behavioral style. Smart Courses include: personalized videos, back-at-work tasks, assignments, coaching messages, simulations, and other mechanics.
A Corporate Retreat Boot Camp is an in-person, team development intervention, taking place in our Cyprus training grounds. There, we take professionals through a targeted workout of communication, inter-reliance, and self-management, by immersing them in outdoor, team problem-solving exercises that surface the behaviors we want to address. As such, the Boot Camp’s agenda is constantly being adapted to professionals’ progress through the exercises. And this is how we offer real-time assessment and development of each professional’s unique needs.
A Bespoke Academy is a development program of a longer duration (3-18 months), aimed at achieving a set of strategic development objectives for a select group of professionals. To do this, we draw upon all of the tools in our toolbelt, such as Virtual Workshops, Corporate Retreat Boot Camp, Smart Courses, in-person training, learning videos, back-at-work tasks, company-wide and large-scale projects, simulations, coaching, questionnaires. How do you simulate an in-person experience?
We try to simulate the closest thing to an in-person training experience. Our gamer-inspired, custom-built professional studios allow us to take virtual training to a new next level. Music, sound effects, interactive working areas, virtual whiteboards, role play videos, cell-phone aided competitions, voting, NFL-inspired overlays, and a ton of other cool tech goodies allow us to keep our professionals engaged while providing an interactive experience. Oh, and lots of humor and fun. It’s an L&D rock show! This is how we boost learning retention.
What is the duration of a workshop?
The duration, indicated in each workshop’s description, represents the total amount of hours of content delivery. We normally divide our workshops into 4-hour sessions. We have found 4 hours to be the optimal duration for an amount of learning during any one day. It also allows professionals to manage their workloads effectively.
So, for example, if a workshop you’re interested in is 16 hours in duration, we will split this into 4 x 4-hour sessions. This means a session on 4 different days. These sessions can then be scheduled daily, every other day, or even weekly. This depends on the topic of learning, your needs, and the objectives you have as a company.
Is the team size set in stone?
Yes, it is. We’ve put a lot of thought into the optimum team size for each particular workshop topic (check out the descriptions above for the exact number). And this is because we’re not a “factory-assembly-line” type of L&D company. We want to give your professionals the attention and consideration they deserve, to make the learning stick for them.
Is pre-work required for attending?
Yes, it is. Profiling professionals before attendance, or understanding their skills-gaps, allows us to prepare for the workshop and customize the learning content and talent hacks we will provide to each professional during the training. It also allows us to mix people up in groups during workshop activities, based on personalities, to encourage deeper discussion and learning.
Do you offer any kind of follow-up?
Yes. All our workshops include some form of follow-up action on our part. It all depends on the topic, your needs, and our experience from training your professionals. Although we do have some predetermined follow-up actions to make the learning stick, we also provide you with some options after the training has ended, and once we have had the chance to interact with your professionals.
Do you also offer these topics as in-person workshops?
Yes, we do. It all depends on location and Covid restrictions. Our Virtual Workshops have been designed to make the experience feel as close to the real thing (in-person) as possible.
